When is it safe to go outside?
What time does it rain?
When is there a snowstorm?
Is there a chance of flooding?
Is your home safe?
The answer to all of these questions can change over the next couple of weeks.
Winter garden village at Greenwood Village in north Queensland.
The community is one of the few remaining in the north east of the state.
It is a beautiful and remote area with lots of wildlife and waterfalls.
Its hard to imagine how it would have happened if there were no snow and rain and there was no threat of flooding.
But that is exactly what happened in January 2018 when ice formed over the north-west Queensland town of Greenwood and the community lost all its buildings, including the community hall, community gardens, the town hall and even the home of the local council.
The ice, which covered the town for days, caused widespread damage and led to the evacuation of around 500 people.
But what happened on January 10 is not the only story of this time of year.
There are also times of year when temperatures can be above freezing in the middle of the night.
This is when the north Queensland community at Greenpoint Village near Greenwood will be closed to the public.
This is because there is no road network linking Greenpoint to Greenwood, which means there is little public transport.
It is not uncommon for communities in the south east of Queensland to experience this kind of weather, but it is rarer in the northern part of the south west.
This can be especially problematic if you live in the area and want to visit some of the places that are still active.
There are several other places where residents will not be allowed to visit.
One of the most important places is the Goldfields Hotel.
The Goldfields, a historic Victorian house, is a popular holiday spot for many families.
The hotel was evacuated during the ice storm and its owners are desperate to stay open.
They have to get permission from the local community before they can reopen.
It would have been very dangerous to walk into the hotel.
The ice could have formed in the roof and blown off the building and the entire property could have been destroyed.
The property is owned by the Goldfield Hotel Association and has been in the family for generations.
The association has received numerous calls from residents worried about the safety of the building, which is in the same neighbourhood as the Goldends.
Its owner, David Molloy, said it was lucky nobody was hurt or killed.
“People are coming in and they’re going to tell us what’s happening and we’re going, ‘oh yeah, that’s a bit scary’,” Mr Mollow said.
“People have a good heart and they do want to come in and enjoy the place.
But it’s a very dangerous time of the year and there’s no guarantee it won’t happen again.”
