The Globe and Mail’s Marketplace.ca has updated its online database of Canadian securities to include the latest listings for Canadian exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with mutual funds.
The company says that for the most part, ETFs trading in the Toronto Stock Exchange are traded by local residents.
But, there are a few exceptions.
The Globe and the CBC have written about the Toronto ETFs with mutual fund companies, but not necessarily because the fund companies want to cover their investment losses.
The CBC says it is unclear if there are any mutual fund stocks that are listed on the website that are not listed in the listings.
The Marketplace.co website says it does not publish details of mutual fund shares that are offered by the companies listed on its website.
However, the Globe and its CBC colleague, The Globe, have written a series of articles that discuss the ownership and trading of ETFs.
